My name is Beth and I teach at VALTS, an alternative high school in western Nebraska. I am here to learn more about utilizing technology in education as well as getting to know some of my colleagues better.

Creating online courses, playing with my dogs---all three of them, reading, Social Studies, spending time with my family

being able to connect with other professionals online, being able to expose my students to virtually anything on the planet using the internet, chips and salsa from Mi Ranchito, chocolate, looking forward to moving to the new building next year, people who are self-starters, Starbucks, technology (when it works)

complainers, people who are afraid to try new things, people who are dead weight, people who criticize VALTS, people who use the phrase "Because that is how we have always done it!", technology (when it does not work)

Complete my M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Educational Technology within two years, create 2 to 3 Moodle classes each year, teach others about Moodle and help generate interest in the virtual high school concept
